Craignair Cottage is a traditionally built granite house just a short distance from the Granite town of Dalbeattie.

The cottage has recently undergone major refurbishment and offers two modern rooms with open views of surrounding countryside . The cottage is situated within its own grounds and champions a large garden. We are a family run business offering quality bed and breakfast accommodation located on the outskirts of the town and within walking distance of the river Urr, a popular salmon fishing river. We offer two double rooms both with modern en-suite facilities and unrestricted views. We have off road parking and is an ideal base for those visitors wishing to explore the surrounding area of Dumfries and Galloway. We provide a full scottish breakfast with all our ingrediants sourced locally from our award winning butchers accompanied by our very own homemade preserves.

Nearby towns include the Food town of Castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright Art town. Less than six miles away is the lovely picturesque village of Kippford nestled on the Solway coast. A few miles further down the road is Rockcliffe, a charming coastal inlet with stunning views and access to walks up to Castle Point. We are situated just a mile away from the entrance to Dalbeattie forest part of the seven stanes. The forest is ideal for walkers of all levels of ability and offers a number of bike trails.
