Torcastle House

Torcastle House is our family home. Newly built in 2010, we offer a high standard of bed and breakfast accommodation and welcome you to stay with us at Torcastle, to enjoy one of the most stunning and peaceful locations in the Scottish Highlands.
Torcastle is accessed through a tunnel under the Caledonian Canal, nestled between the Canal and the River Lochy. Although we are only 5 miles from Fort William it feels like a world of its own.
Our location is perfect for spotting wildlife including Deer, Red squirrel, Pine Marten, Otter, Heron plus stunning natural woodlands to wander through listening to the Owls and Woodpecker.
Torcastle is a beautiful location with fabulous view of Ben Nevis and Aonach Mor. The River Lochy flows along our boundary fence and we have easy access to the ruins of the old Tor Castle (stronghold of the Clan Cameron until they moved to Achnacarry). Our chickens are free to roam in more than 5 acres of ground and we had free range pigs earlier this year with plans to get more next year …. subject to beating their escape antics. Many think Torcastle is ‘like stepping into another world’, my advice is see for yourself.
Our Bed and Breakfast gives you all the comforts of home but affords you your own space with your own living room overlooking stunning views of Ben Nevis and the River Lochy. Our hens wander free and supply yummy eggs for your breakfast, possibly the best you’ll ever taste.
