La Maison de Maître

You are assured of a warm welcome at Mayenne Bed and Breakfast situated on the outskirts of the village of St. Denis de Gastines in the Mayenne countryside.

Mayenne is in the north west of France close to the borders of Brittany and Normandy.

Under 2 hours from the main ferry ports, we are ideally placed for bed and breakfast "en passant". Also within easy reach are many well known destinations, Le Mans, Loire Valley, Mont St. Michel, Normandy Beaches. We provide the perfect setting if you are looking for a B&B base for either touring or house hunting, complemented by our extensive local knowledge and French language skills.
The market towns of Gorron and Ernée, both only a ten minute drive away, offer a selection of shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkets and ample free parking. A little further afield, Mayenne, Fougères and Laval have their own attractions and are all within 30 minutes travel.

Breakfast, taken in the oak panelled salon, is a selection of breads, brioche, croissants and pastries, with jams all made from our own fruit, together with fruit juice, tea, coffee or hot chocolate.

With the option of an evening meal, stay for a night's bed & breakfast or a week and you'll still wish it was longer.

Although our maison de maître overlooks open countryside, the centre of the village is only a ten minute walk away and there you will find a mini supermarket, bar, baker, pharmacy, post office, taxi service, bank and hairdresser.

There are many pleasant walks on marked footpaths around the outskirts of the village for which we'll be pleased to provide guests with a map. There's also fishing, tennis, swimming and horse riding all just minutes away. Or just enjoy a stroll around the gardens......
